A Year of Growth, Connection, and Joy: The Mint School 2025-2026 Preview

The Mint School 2025–2026 preview offers a glimpse into a school year rich with Montessori discovery, bilingual enrichment, and a vibrant calendar of community events.

A 2025–2026 Preview of Community at Mint

The Mint School 2025–2026 preview is more than a list of dates. It tells the story of a year that balances learning with celebration, independence with community, and discovery with joy. At Mint, school goes beyond classrooms and lessons, transforming into a place where children flourish, families connect, and every day hums with curiosity and small triumphs.

Each season brings its own rhythm, yet together they form a single theme: children growing into themselves, with parents supporting them, teachers guiding them, and a community actively embracing them as they reach their potential. From coffee mornings to concerts, field trips to Curriculum Nights, every gathering pulses with purpose, and every shared moment threads a story of learning, laughter, and connection.

September: Beginnings and Belonging

The school year kicks off with Mint & Mingle, our September coffee morning where new and returning parents meet, chat over steaming cups, and spark connections that carry through the year. Soon after, Casa families head to Downey’s Farm, where children run among the pumpkin patches, and enjoy the fresh air of harvest season alongside their parents.

Autumn: Wonder and Work

As the leaves turn, parents step into the classrooms for Work with Me days. Children proudly guide their parents through Montessori activities, demonstrating their independence and focus with small but steady hands.

Curriculum Nights follow, giving parents an evening of insight into Montessori pedagogy. These gatherings deepen understanding and invite parents to see learning through their child’s eyes, bridging school and home.

Winter: Reflection and Celebration

Winter brings moments of both intimacy and festivity. Parent-Teacher Meetings take place virtually, where families meet one-on-one with their child’s guide, sharing insights, questions, and laughter across the screen.

The season concludes with the Holiday Concert. Children take the stage to sing in English and French, filling the hall with music, joy, and the occasional nervous giggle. Families cheer as confidence blooms and the beauty of learning lifts in song.

Spring: Celebration and Growth

Spring arrives with a buzz of excitement and the thrill of milestones achieved. The annual Spring Concert brings children back to the stage, again in English and French, their voices telling the story of a year’s progress. For graduating students, it serves as both a festive performance and a joyful leap into the adventures ahead.

Throughout the Year: Enrichment and Discovery

Alongside these milestones, the year brims with new opportunities. French Specialist, Virginie Jalkh, strengthens our bilingual program, while Michelle Elias, an RCA-trained professional, guides children in music and the performing arts. After-school enrichment expands with martial arts, multisport, piano, and advanced French, offering children new ways to explore, create, and grow beyond the classroom. Families interested in these offerings should register early, as spaces fill quickly.

Open Houses punctuate the year, welcoming new families into the Mint community. These events provide a first look at classrooms alive with Montessori learning and reveal the spirit that defines the school.
