OUR PROGRAMS

Infant Program

8-month-olds to 18-month-olds

The period from birth to age six is a crucial time in a child’s development. Children learn from what they see, hear, taste, smell, feel and sense around them.

Practical Life

Practical life activities help infants begin to develop independence and confidence. Through simple, purposeful activities, the child learns to participate in caring for themselves and their environment. These activities help build concentration, coordination, hand-eye coordination, and fine motor skills. It is common to see an infant practicing walking by themselves, sitting by themselves, and feeding themselves.

Developmental Aids

An infant’s coordination, concentration, and independence develop every day. The teachers support the child’s development through purposeful Montessori activities and hands-on exploration. These experiences help the infant develop fine motor control, sensory awareness, confidence, and a growing sense of independence.

Language

An infant’s language and communication skills develop every day. The teachers enrich the child’s vocabulary through songs, reading stories, looking at books, and engaging in warm, responsive conversation. Through meaningful interactions and exposure to language, the infant begins to develop listening skills, comprehension, and early communication.

Curriculum

French

During the sensitive period for language, infants have a remarkable capacity to absorb new sounds and structures. Our daily French lesson introduces the language through songs. This joyful exposure encourages early bilingual development and cultural appreciation.

Music

Through rhythm, movement, and song, the infant is gently introduced to music each day. Musical experiences foster creativity, emotional expression, listening skills, and language development while creating joyful opportunities for connection and exploration.

Athletics & Wellness

Through movement, outdoor play, and guided physical activities, the infant is encouraged to develop coordination, balance, strength, and confidence. Athletics and wellness experiences support healthy physical development while fostering body awareness, independence, and joyful exploration of movement.
